A friend told me about your web site. We used to have
a Doggie Diner head in our backyard. I think it's still there. (552 Norvell
St, El Cerrito)
A radio station, probably country-western, was having
a contest in about 1975-1977 or so. The prize was a doggie-diner head
from one of the restaurants that was closing. To enter, you had to tell
them what you would use it for. Whoever had the best use would win. My
dad, Ron Netz, said that he would use it as a place to sleep when his
wife kicked him out of bed.
